The Anbernic RG SP Will Be Available On August 5

Anbernic says its RG SP, a clamshell handheld inspired by the Game Boy Advance SP, goes on sale August 5 at 6 AM ET.

The base model will start at $65, with higher-storage versions priced at $80 and $95.

Buyers during the first three days will get a $7 discount.

The RG SP includes a 3.4-inch display, a 3,300 mAh battery, and an H700 chip capable of emulating games up to PSP.

The announcement positions Anbernic to compete in the fast-growing market for low-cost retro emulation handhelds.
