NASA Urges U.S. Public To Watch Aug. 12’s Total Solar Eclipse

NASA has released a trailer promoting the Aug. 12 total solar eclipse and will livestream it with expert commentary.

The path of totality will cross Greenland, Iceland, Spain and part of Portugal, while a partial eclipse will be visible across parts of North America, Europe and northwestern Africa.

NASA’s broadcast lets people outside the eclipse path experience the event safely in real time.

The eclipse also adds to the skywatching window alongside the Perseid meteor shower.
