Meta, TikTok, Snap and Google Face Wrongful Death Lawsuit From Four US Families

The Social Media Victims Law Center has filed a personal injury and wrongful death lawsuit in Delaware against Meta, TikTok, Snap, and Google.

The complaint alleges the companies built addictive products, exposed minors to harmful content, and ignored internal warnings that contributed to depression, self-harm, and suicidality.

It cites four child deaths in Texas, North Carolina, Minnesota, and Tennessee between July 2024 and September 2025.

The case could intensify legal pressure on major platforms over youth safety, addictive design, and alleged mental health harms tied to social media use.
