Apple may charge a 15% fee per item for bulk returns on its Japan online store

Apple updated its Japan online store terms to add a potential 15% per-item return fee for suspected bulk purchases returned for improper reasons.

The rule is separate from standard return conditions, and returned items must be sent back through the original Apple Online Store.

Apple had already restricted large-volume returns, including requiring 10 or more identical items to be returned to the original store.

The company has not explained how the fee is calculated or when the policy took effect.
