A Baldur's Gate 2 remake is in the works, according to rumors

A report says Wizards of the Coast is allegedly working on a remake of Baldur’s Gate 2: Shadow of Amn.

The rumor also suggests former BioWare developer Kevin Martens could be involved, and the first Baldur’s Gate may be part of the plan too.

Baldur’s Gate already has Enhanced Editions, so a remake would need to justify itself with major upgrades.

Any new version would face tough choices around graphics, UI modernization, and the game’s older D&D ruleset.
