Townfall Could Give Silent Hill Its Resident Evil 7 Moment

Silent Hill: Townfall will test whether the series’ atmosphere and psychological horror can work in a first-person perspective.

Rather than a make-or-break reinvention, the game is framed as an experiment in a new creative direction.

If successful, it could broaden the path for future Silent Hill games, much as Resident Evil 7 did for Resident Evil.

It is also part of Konami’s wider effort to revive and evolve the Silent Hill franchise after years of decline.
