Modern Warfare 4's Kill Block lets you use a Desert Eagle sniper rifle, but it's still Call of Duty at heart

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 got its first public hands-on demo at Fanatics Fest.

The showcase featured Kill Block, a new modular Gunfight map, plus updated ballistics and the Gunny system that auto-builds weapons from attachments.

Attendees also saw unusual loadouts like a Desert Eagle tuned for mid-range use.

Despite the new systems, the game keeps classic boots-on-the-ground movement instead of Black Ops-style mobility.
