Singaporean Startup’s Gelix 1 AI Chip With 20-Core CPU, 273GB/s Bandwidth, Said To Beat M4 Pro In AI Inference, Can Run Up To 100B LLMs While Using Up A Mac mini’s Footprint

Acrab unveiled Gelix 1, a compact AI chip with a 20-core ARM CPU, 5nm process, multi-core NPU, and 273GB/s unified-memory bandwidth.

The company claims it beats Apple’s M4 Pro Mac mini on AI inference and can support models up to 100 billion parameters.

If true, Gelix 1 could make large local AI inference practical in a small desktop system.

But the benchmark results are not independently verified, and pricing has not been disclosed.
