Dragon Quest XII Gets a New Title Following a Complete Development Reset

Square Enix revealed Dragon Quest XII’s new subtitle, Beyond Dreams, and said the game underwent a full development reset.

The company showed early footage, but platform support and release timing remain unannounced.

Yuji Horii said the game will feature characters tied to Akira Toriyama and music associated with Koichi Sugiyama.

The reset suggests a major shift in direction and timeline for one of Square Enix’s key upcoming RPGs.
