GS Caltex is pushing a bottom-up AX model by enabling frontline employees to build apps themselves with low-code, RPA, machine learning, and generative AI.

Its DX Center has already helped about 3,000 employees create roughly 1,900 apps, showing broad in-house adoption.

Executive Eunju Lee said the IT organization should shift from building solutions to training users, monitoring app usage, and helping improve issues.

The move highlights how enterprise IT roles are evolving toward operations, impact measurement, and support as employees lead AI adoption.
