TP-Link seeks FCC exemption from router ban, says it is a US company

TP-Link asked the FCC to exempt its routers from a new ban on foreign-made devices.

The company argued it is now a U.S.-based business in Irvine, California despite its Chinese origins.

The case could affect one of the biggest consumer networking brands in the U.S.
