Wacom to review ties with the general incorporated association headed by its president; again opposes dismissal proposal

Wacom will review ties with CIV, the group led by its president, and stop future donations and family-member appearances at related events.

The move comes after investors raised concerns about possible conflicts of interest and blurred lines between public and private interests.

At the same time, Wacom is still opposing a shareholder proposal from top investor AVI to dismiss the president and COO.

The dispute is now likely to be decided at the upcoming annual general meeting.
