PS5 is finally doing something PlayStation hasn't done in 13 years

Sony’s PS5 could see new games from Santa Monica Studio and Naughty Dog in the same year, likely around 2027.

That would be the first time both PlayStation studios have launched original new titles in the same year since 2013.

The 2022 release of The Last of Us Part 1 doesn’t count as a repeat because it was a remake, not a new original game.

A same-year launch from two of PlayStation’s most acclaimed first-party studios would be a major moment for PS5 players.
