Former KFA chief Chung Mong-kyu admitted at a parliamentary hearing that he has not yet fulfilled his pledged 5 billion won personal donation made during his bid for a fourth term.

He initially avoided a direct answer but acknowledged the unfulfilled promise after repeated questioning from lawmakers.

He also said he had planned an additional donation tied to World Cup results, but it was not carried out after the national team’s poor performance.

The admission renewed scrutiny over the Korean Football Association’s credibility and leadership accountability.
