Fans say Nintendo often times amiibo with first-party releases, so the dates may hint at an upcoming announcement or release window.

If true, Nintendo would be placing a major first-party game in the crowded holiday season.

The timing would also put it about a week ahead of Grand Theft Auto VI’s Nov. 19 launch, prompting talk of competition or avoidance.
