CXMT’s 64GB Server DDR5 Memory Chip Is Now Pricier Than Samsung’s, As It Races To Increase Capacity To 600,000 Wafers Per Month

CXMT is reportedly charging more than Samsung for a 64GB DDR5 server module, signaling rising pricing power in DRAM.

The Chinese memory maker is ramping output from about 200,000 wafers per month toward 300,000 by year-end.

New fabs under construction could lift CXMT’s total capacity to as much as 600,000 wafers per month.

CXMT is also developing wafer-to-wafer hybrid bonding and is being considered by Apple for China-market devices.
