Pro-Ukraine group claims it helped hack Russian drone air defense system, shooting down Su-57 in friendly fire incident — Moscow confirms fifth-generation fighter jet crashed in 'technical malfunction'

Russia says a Su-57 crashed near Moscow during a training flight because of a technical malfunction, and the pilot survived.

Ukrainian group InformNapalm claims a cyber and intelligence operation caused the BARS Moscow air defense system to shoot down the jet instead.

If true, the incident would show that Ukrainian OSINT, HUMINT, and CYBINT can manipulate Russian air defenses.

It would also highlight vulnerabilities in Russia's prized fifth-generation fighter fleet.
