Sony Says Don’t Panic, It Has Enough RAM for All the PS5s It Plans to Sell This Year with the Launch of GTA 6

Sony says it has secured enough memory to support planned PS5 sales through FY26, despite the industry-wide RAM shortage.

The company raised its full-year revenue and operating income outlook, while PS5 unit sales fell year over year last quarter.

Sony said hardware profitability should remain roughly in line with FY25, though it did not rule out another price increase.

The outlook suggests PS5 availability should hold through the holiday season, including demand tied to Grand Theft Auto VI.
