[Law Firm ON] LKB Pyeongsan Takes on Damages Suit Over Starch Collusion Following Flour and Sugar Cases

LKB Pyeonsan filed a damages suit on behalf of 12 Chinese restaurant owners over alleged corn starch price collusion.

The defendants are four starch makers: CJ CheilJedang, Samyang, Sajo CPK, and Daesang.

The FTC has already levied hefty fines over starch and starch-syrup collusion, and prosecutors have also indicted related parties.

The case highlights efforts by food and restaurant businesses to recover losses from cartel-driven input costs.

LKB Pyeonsan is also pursuing related damage claims over flour and sugar collusion.
