Chinese Memory Makers Accelerate DDR5 Development, Reaching 8000 MT/s DRAM Speeds As They Near Samsung, SK Hynix & Micron Levels

Chinese memory chipmakers are accelerating DDR5 development, led by CXMT’s push to 8000 MT/s modules.

Suppliers including Jiahe Jinwei and Powev are releasing 64 GB RDIMM products and expanding LPDDR4 output.

The industry is also investing in new capacity to serve rising AI server, enterprise, and consumer demand.

The move suggests Chinese DRAM makers are narrowing the gap with Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron.
