Robotics and AIDC cooling heat up LG Electronics’ earnings call…new business commercialization speeds up

LG Electronics is accelerating commercialization of new growth businesses, led by robotics actuators and AI data center cooling.

After posting record quarterly results, the company said its next growth engines will be robotics and cooling solutions for AI data centers.

Robot actuators are undergoing pilot production and quality stabilization at the Changwon plant, with mass-production readiness being tested.

For AI data centers, LG aims to secure new orders worth trillions of won this year in North America and Asia while expanding customer and production bases.

LG is also working with partners such as Nvidia on physical AI and integrated cooling solutions.
