Intel 18A-P and 14A gain Cadence’s full EDA toolchain, tightening the ecosystem push to challenge TSMC’s foundry lead

Cadence said its digital and custom reference flows, EDA tools, and solutions are now certified for Intel 18A-P and Intel 14A using the latest Intel Foundry PDKs.

The two companies also emphasized co-optimized design workflows, packaging support for EMIB and EMIB-T, and signoff-ready flows for advanced-node development.

Intel 18A silicon validation with Cadence IP further supports the maturity of the Intel Foundry ecosystem.

The certification should make it easier for chip designers to use Cadence tools and IP on Intel’s newest nodes, helping Intel better compete with TSMC.
