Minecraft Reveals New Biome, Title of Second Movie

Mojang revealed a new Dappled Forest biome for Minecraft during the May 30 Minecraft Live broadcast.

The biome will arrive in Minecraft’s third game drop of 2026, expected in Q3.

Mojang also confirmed the next film in the franchise will be titled A Minecraft Movie: Squared.

The update adds new exploration content for players while giving the movie sequel its official branding.
