Mercari launches new feature that lets sellers receive proceeds before buyer receipt confirmation

Mercari launched a new feature on April 8 that lets eligible sellers receive sales proceeds without waiting for the buyer’s rating, generally 24 hours after delivery is completed.

The feature applies only to users who meet conditions such as identity verification and seller level 4, with additional rules on shipping methods, safety-check services, and payout limits.

By speeding up cash settlement, the update should improve transaction convenience and encourage more listings on the marketplace.
