Cult 16-bit football platformer Soccer Kid is getting a re-release in time for the World Cup

Cult 16-bit platformer Soccer Kid is returning as Soccer Kid Collection.

The $9.99 release bundles the SNES and PC versions and launches June 16 on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo platforms.

Originally tied to the 1994 FIFA World Cup, the game follows a boy who uses a football to recover trophy pieces after an alien pirate incident.

The re-release aims to bring a nostalgic sports platformer to modern players ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
