Google confirms The Android Show event will return this May

Google will host The Android Show on May 12, one week before Google I/O on May 19.

The event starts at 1 p.m. ET and will stream on YouTube and Google’s event page.

Google says it will show why this is a big year for Android, likely teasing upcoming platform changes.

The separate Android showcase suggests Google is keeping Android news distinct from its broader AI and Gemini push.
