LG monitors are now reportedly sneaking adware onto your PC

LG UltraGear monitors are reportedly triggering an “LG Monitor App Installer” on Windows PCs that installs in the background and serves ads without clear user consent.

Reports from users and Gamers Nexus say the installer can show promotions such as McAfee trial offers, turning a monitor setup step into ad delivery.

The issue has sparked backlash over privacy, consent, and potential compliance concerns for LG customers.

LG is also facing separate scrutiny over smart TV terms that allegedly expand data collection.
