Intel 14A Enters High-Volume Production in 2028, as Risk Production Moves Ahead to 2027 for Internal Products

Intel says its 14A process is now slated for internal risk production in the second half of 2027 and high-volume production in 2028, ahead of the prior 2029 plan.

The company said 14A has improved in defect density and transistor performance, while PDK milestones continue to advance.

Intel also said customer engagement around 14A is increasing, underscoring growing interest in the node as a foundry offering.

The updated timeline signals stronger confidence in Intel Foundry’s roadmap and could help support future product launches.
