AMD Ryzen With Zen 7 Cores Could Be The Last “Zen” Family For AM5, As Zen 8 Likely Moving To AM6 With DDR6 & PCIe 6.0 Support

AMD’s Ryzen desktop roadmap suggests Zen 7 could be the final major CPU family for AM5.

Zen 6 is expected to arrive on AM5 first, with Zen 7 likely following around 2029.

Zen 8 is more likely to launch on a new AM6 platform alongside next-gen standards like DDR6 and PCIe 6.0.

The move would give AM5 one more upgrade cycle before AMD shifts to a new socket and motherboard platform.
