These new Lego Pokémon sets all use fancy 'Smart Play' tech

Lego unveiled 12 new Pokémon sets built around its Smart Play system, adding lights and sounds through Smart Bricks.

The lineup includes Pikachu, Mewtwo, Gengar and the original starter Pokémon, with sets ranging from small builds to large battle scenes.

All sets are available for pre-order now, with a release date set for Aug. 1, 2026.

Lego is also offering a gift with purchase, underscoring a broader push into more interactive licensed building toys.
