Sony Wants To Turn You Into A ‘Gran Turismo 7’ Character

Sony announced The Playerbase program to turn fans into characters in PlayStation games.

The program begins with Gran Turismo 7 and will 3D-capture selected fans at an LA visual arts studio.

Sony will cover travel and accommodation for the selected fan and a guest.

Winners are chosen after judging written responses, demonstrated fandom, and brand engagement; the winner appears in GT7 for a limited time.

The chosen fan helps create a custom logo and vehicle that remain in the Showcase; the program runs across the Americas, Europe, Asia, South Africa and Australia, and fans may be scanned into other PlayStation worlds later; the program will not alter a fan’s likeness to be Kratos or Aloy.
