Ex-Forza Horizon devs reveal Clutch, their own open-world racing game

Maverick Games, founded by former Forza Horizon developers, announced its debut title, Clutch.

Clutch is an open-world racing game in development for about three and a half years, targeting Spring 2027.

The game is led by ex-Forza Horizon creative director Mike Brown and uses a custom Unreal Engine 5 build.

Writer Jamie Brittain is handling the narrative, with a story centered on racing siblings and car enthusiasts.

The studio is aiming for highly detailed, realistic vehicle models, with a trailer planned for Summer Game Fest.
