RAM thieves in China jailed after looting a string of eSport hotels — stole 16 sticks worth $2,000 in 'frenzied hotel room-dismantling'

Two men in China were arrested for stealing 16 RAM sticks from gaming PCs in eSports hotels.

Over about two weeks, they hit multiple hotels and resold the hardware for roughly 13,200 yuan.

The thefts took place in Shihezi City in Northern Xinjiang and triggered guest complaints and police action.

The case highlights how small-scale hardware theft can disrupt hotel operations and guest experience.
