Dragon Quest 12 Will Take Longer To Come Out After the Team Decided to ‘Start From Scratch’

Square Enix says Dragon Quest XII has been restarted from scratch, delaying the long-awaited RPG even further.

Producer Yosuke Saito said the team reshuffled and reworked the project during a Dragon Quest 40th anniversary livestream.

The previously revealed subtitle and logo have been overhauled as part of the reboot.

The delay underscores major development trouble for one of Square Enix’s marquee franchises.
