French union accuses Quantic Dream of 'catastrophic project management' over Spellcasters Chronicles shut down

Quantic Dream has shut down development of Spellcasters Chronicles after roughly three months in Early Access.

The studio said the game’s servers will close on June 19, 2026 and is offering refunds to affected players.

French union STJV blamed “catastrophic” project management and warned the cancellation could put about 95 jobs at risk.

The move raises fresh concerns about Quantic Dream’s finances, leadership, and the future of its other projects, including Star Wars Eclipse.
