Intel Intros Diamond Rapids “Xeon 7” CPUs Built on 18A-P: Up to 192 Cores, 16-Channel Memory, PCIe Gen6 Support, Launching in 2027

Intel unveiled Diamond Rapids, its next Xeon 7 data center CPU family for 2027.

The chips are expected to use Intel’s 18A-P process and scale up to 192 P-cores, while dropping SMT.

Diamond Rapids will move to a tiled design with separate compute and memory blocks for better scalability.

The platform targets 16 memory channels, PCIe Gen6, and high-TDP multi-socket server systems.
