Alibaba outlines Qwen3.8 with 2.4 trillion parameters

Alibaba’s Qwen team has announced Qwen3.8, a new AI model with 2.4 trillion parameters, and says the model weights will be released soon.

A preview version, Qwen3.8-Max-Preview, is already available through Alibaba’s Token Plan, Qoder, and QoderWork.

Key details such as the architecture, training data, benchmark results, and firm launch date have not yet been disclosed, making its impact hard to gauge for now.
