$21 Nintendo Wii U upgrade lets you add TBs of storage to your console with an M.2 or SATA SSD — upgrade makes console slightly faster, but requires Homebrew and custom firmware

Retro accessory maker The Peaceful Outcome has released a $21.99 internal SSD upgrade kit for the Wii U.

The kit supports SATA drives and M.2 NVMe SSDs, allowing storage to be expanded to 1TB or more.

It also adds a USB port to make file transfers easier.

Using it requires opening the console and installing Aroma custom firmware through a homebrew process that carries some bricking risk.
