Destiny 2 joins PlayStation Plus as development ends at Bungie

Sony will add Destiny 2: Legacy Collection to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for Extra and Premium subscribers on June 9.

That lines up with Bungie ending active development on Destiny 2 after The Final Shape, marking a major shift for the live-service shooter.

Reports also suggest Bungie may be facing significant layoffs as the studio winds down work on Destiny 2.

The move expands Destiny 2’s reach on PlayStation even as its development era comes to a close.
