Intel Nova Lake-S APU With 12 Xe3P Cores Will Reportedly Require 65W For Full Performance

A report says an Intel Nova Lake-S desktop APU variant with 16 CPU cores and 12 Xe3P integrated GPU cores will need a 65W power setup to reach full performance.

The key detail is a dual-phase graphics power design, or VCCGT, which is said to be required for the chip’s top integrated graphics output.

If true, the part could deliver significantly stronger mainstream desktop iGPU performance than current AMD options such as the Ryzen 8700G.

That would make power delivery a major buying and system-building consideration, not just CPU core count or clock speeds.
