Final Fantasy 14 could finally introduce a controversial feature

Final Fantasy 14 may add a faster catch-up or story-skip option for new players, Square Enix says.

Producer Naoki Yoshida said the team is exploring ways to reduce the game’s steep main-story barrier.

One change could arrive before or with the next expansion, with another possible in patch 8.0.

The idea is controversial, but it could make the MMORPG more accessible to newcomers.
