Finding a job and getting paid for it seemed impossible: your former boss must pay you six hours a week for finding a new job

In Spain, workers dismissed on objective grounds with at least 15 days’ notice are entitled to six paid hours per week to look for a new job.

The leave can be used for interviews, sending CVs, and employment-office procedures.

If the company denies the right or deducts pay, it can be claimed from the employer and, if needed, through the labor court or the labor inspectorate.
