WorkOS launched auth.md, a Markdown-based protocol for AI agent registration and authentication.

It uses OAuth discovery metadata and supports two paths: provider-verified ID-JAG and user-claimed OTP via email.

The goal is to replace shared API keys with scoped credentials that can be audited and revoked per delegation.
