Google is working on Chrome updates that don’t require restarts

Google is developing dynamic patching for Chrome so some security fixes can be applied without a full browser restart.

It is also improving automatic restarts so updates happen during lower-disruption periods.

Chrome is moving to a two-week release cycle, with more frequent security updates also under consideration.

A limited auto-restart feature is already enabled on macOS in Chrome 150.
