Framework's CEO on the RAM crisis and creating a "MacBook Pro for Linux users"

Framework unveiled updated Laptop 13 hardware and a new Laptop 13 Pro with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 motherboard options and improved components.

The Laptop 13 Pro will be Framework’s first factory-installed Linux system and its first officially Ubuntu Certified device.

CEO Nirav Patel said Linux users slightly outnumber Windows users on the Laptop 13, and pitched the new model as a MacBook Pro-style laptop for Linux buyers.

Framework also flagged RAM and storage shortages, while strengthening its position as a Linux-first alternative in the PC market.
