Cloudflare open-sources a debugger for privacy protocols used by Apple and Microsoft, with AI agents in mind

Cloudflare has open-sourced pvcli, a command-line debugger for privacy-preserving protocols like OHTTP, with MASQUE support planned.

The Apache-licensed tool is meant to help developers test and troubleshoot split-trust systems used by companies such as Apple and Microsoft.

Cloudflare says pvcli includes a sandbox for experimenting with open services and is designed with AI-agent workflows in mind.

The release could make it easier for smaller teams to build and maintain privacy-first networking systems without weakening their design.
