New Slay the Spire 2 update deletes its most controversial boss fight

Mega Crit’s new Slay the Spire 2 beta patch removes the controversial Act Three boss Doormaker and replaces it with Aeonglass.

The update also adds the game’s first Bestiary entry and shifts beta patches to a slower two-week cadence.

A broad balance pass adjusts characters, relics, and enemies, including buffs for Defect and changes to The Silent and The Regent.

The patch aims to reshape core combat design while signaling a more substantial, less frequent update cycle for development.
