Global semiconductor foundry market hit a record $320 billion in 2025 as TSMC pulled further ahead

Global semiconductor foundry revenue reached $320 billion in 2025, up 16% year-over-year.

TSMC held 38% of the market; its full-year revenue grew 36% while Q4 growth moderated to 25%.

Non-TSMC foundries collectively grew 8% YoY.

Under Counterpoint's Foundry 2.0 definition, pure-play foundries accounted for 54% of revenue and non-memory IDMs 27%.

SMIC grew 16%, Nexchip grew 24%, and the OSAT segment rose 10% YoY.
