Apple Retires iPhone Upgrade Program for Klarna-Backed Leases

Apple launched Apple Upgrade, a Klarna-backed leasing program in the U.S. for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.

The new plan offers lower entry prices, optional AppleCare, and end-of-term choices to return, buy out, or upgrade devices.

For iPhone leases, customers must meet carrier requirements through AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile.

Apple is ending the iPhone Upgrade Program for new signups, but current participants can finish their existing plans.
