YouTube Will Now Automatically Label AI Videos Even When Creators Don't

YouTube is adding automatic labels for videos with significant photorealistic AI use, while creators still must manually disclose realistic AI content.

Labels will be more prominent on long-form videos and Shorts, and some disclosures tied to YouTube AI tools or C2PA metadata cannot be removed.

The company is also launching a prompt-based custom content feed for signed-in U.S. users on mobile and desktop.

The personalized feed depends on search and watch history being enabled, giving viewers a new way to discover content.
